The inspection report that we provide is strictly confidential and the contents within will only be privy to the person(s) who gave the instructions or request for the inspection to be 'carried out', or indeed the person who is buying the vehicle. It is based purely on external visual examinations and only on such items found listed on our check list. No dismantling will be undertaken, and defects discoverable only by internal inspection, or by removal of protective covers would therefore not be revealed. A 10 mile road test will be carried out where possible, but not at high speed. We cannot test for fuel or oil consumption as this is only possible when spread over a more realistic period. e.g. 500/1000 miles; 7/14 days etc. National Vehicle Inspections take great care with their inspections. However, based on the nature in which faults can often manifest themselves, we do not accept responsibility for defects latent or otherwise. e.g. brakes can still be effective even if linings, discs, drums or wheel cylinders are worn/leaking.
